Your counter. A QR code.
That's your payment terminal.

No card reader. No merchant account. No PCI compliance. No three-day settlement. XRP arrives in your wallet in three seconds — directly, non-custodially, yours.

Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

No developer. No bank approval. No hardware to buy. If you have a smartphone, you have everything required.

Set up in an afternoon.

From nothing to accepting payments — five steps, no technical knowledge required.

Download Xaman

Free from the App Store or Google Play. Create your XRP wallet — takes about five minutes. Write down your secret key offline and keep it safe. Your funds are non-custodial: the platform has no access.

Fund your wallet (optional)

The XRP Ledger requires a small reserve (currently 1 XRP) to activate a wallet. You can buy a small amount of XRP via Transak directly in Xaman using a bank card — takes under two minutes.

List your products

Log in to the platform with your Xaman wallet. Add each product or service: name, photograph, description, and price in XRP. Each item mints as a permanent NFU — a payment endpoint linked to your wallet.

Print your QR codes

Each listing generates a unique QR code. Download it, print it, and place it next to the physical item — on a card stand, a menu board, a price tag, or a window sticker. That QR is your payment terminal.

Get paid

Customer scans the QR with their Xaman wallet. They see the product, price, and your wallet address. They confirm. XRP arrives in your wallet in three seconds. You see it immediately in Xaman. That's it.

"The only things a merchant needs: a Xaman wallet and a QR code on the counter. That's the entire setup."

Any business that takes payment.

Anywhere you currently hand over a card reader or take cash — PayWithXRP works. Here are six types of business where this fits naturally.

Cafés & food

List your entire menu as individual NFUs. Each item has a QR on the menu board or counter card. Customer scans, pays, you serve. No card terminal to rent. No Stripe integration. No three-day settlement. Your takings are in your wallet at the end of every transaction.

🎪

Market stalls & craft fairs

Print QR codes on small cards and place them next to each item. No connectivity issues — XRP settles on-ledger regardless of mobile signal quality. At the end of the day, your Xaman history is your complete sales record, ready for accounting.

🏪

Independent retail

Add high-value items as individual NFUs with photographs and descriptions. QR codes on price tags double as payment terminals. Customers with XRP can buy without needing to queue at a till. Stock that sells privately via QR leaves a ledger trail — permanent, exportable, irrefutable.

🔧

Trades & services

List service packages (boiler service, hourly rate, fixed-price job) as NFUs. Send customers a QR link by text or email for remote payment before you arrive. Settlement is instant — no waiting for a BACS transfer or chasing a cheque.

🚗

Dealers (vehicles, luxury)

Each vehicle or high-value item gets a permanent digital identity: service history, ownership chain, images on IPFS. QR on the windscreen is the payment terminal. When a vehicle resells privately later, a small transfer fee returns to the original dealer automatically — on the XRP Ledger, without any action required.

🎫

Micropayments

A museum charges 50p to view a specific exhibit. A street performer has a QR on their instrument case. A car park charges by the minute. Card networks make these transactions economically unviable — the fixed fee wipes the margin. XRP's base transaction fee is £0.000006. These payments are finally possible.

Your wallet is your till, your bank statement, and your accounts.

Every payment that arrives in your Xaman wallet is permanently recorded on the XRP Ledger. Public. Timestamped. Exportable.

End-of-day reconciliation

Open Xaman. Your transaction history shows every payment received: amount in XRP, timestamp, sender. Export it. That is your till record.

Proof of income

Every transaction has a unique XRPL transaction hash — a permanent record that cannot be altered by anyone, including the platform. If HMRC or a lender wants proof of income, the public ledger provides it.

Price updates

Changed your prices? On the platform, cancel the existing offer for that item and relist at the new price. The QR code stays the same — the price behind it updates. No reprint required.

XRP to GBP

Convert your XRP to GBP via any UK-regulated exchange (Coinbase, Kraken, Bitstamp). Transfer to your bank account. The exchange takes minutes; the bank transfer takes a day. Alternatively, hold XRP and spend it — the ecosystem is growing.

Merchant FAQ

What if my customer doesn't have XRP?
They can load XRP directly from a bank card using Transak — embedded in the Xaman wallet. The process takes under two minutes. You can display a small sign at your counter explaining this. As XRP adoption grows, this friction reduces.
What does it actually cost me?
The platform fee is approximately 1% of the transaction value. This is distributed across the geographic node holders above your position in the hierarchy — not extracted by the platform. There is no fixed minimum fee. A 50p transaction costs approximately 0.5p. A £50 transaction costs approximately 50p. Compare that to Visa's ~£1.50 + fixed fee on the same amount.
Is my money safe? Could the platform take it?
No. The platform is non-custodial — payments go from the buyer's wallet directly to yours on the XRP Ledger. The platform never holds, processes, or routes your funds. The ledger enforces the transaction, not the platform. Your secret key (held only by you) is the only thing that controls your wallet.
Do I need to register as a crypto business?
You are accepting XRP as payment for goods or services, which is generally treated the same as accepting any foreign currency in most jurisdictions. You should declare XRP income in your accounts at the GBP equivalent at time of receipt. We recommend consulting an accountant familiar with crypto for your specific situation. The platform does not provide tax advice.
What happens if XRP price changes between listing and sale?
You set prices in XRP. If XRP appreciates, your GBP equivalent at conversion increases. If it drops, it decreases. For businesses that convert frequently (daily or weekly), the exposure is limited. For high-value items where price stability matters, set prices conservatively or update them regularly. Price updates take seconds — cancel the current offer and relist at a new XRP amount.
Can I get a refund or handle returns?
XRP Ledger transactions are irreversible — there is no chargeback mechanism. If you want to issue a refund, you send XRP back to the customer's wallet manually from Xaman. This is actually beneficial for most merchants: no fraudulent chargebacks. You decide your refund policy and handle it directly.
Is the platform live now?
The Collectors Emporium is live on mainnet. PayWithXRP merchant listing is open — list your business now and your QR codes will be generated immediately.
